Dr. Oz under fire by US Senators for weight loss scams
Today Dr. Mehmet Oz of the The Dr. Oz Show has shown up in front of a Senate panel to answer for all the dubious benefits he claims certain weight loss products will provide. Many products which he has officially endorsed with his name on the label and proclaims about their supposed weight loss magic on his nationally televised daytime show. These scams catch viewers unaware as they appear to be backed by a reputable source but in fact have proven to be no more then a big marketing ploy. The panel today cited a 2011 FTC consumer fraud survey that found “more consumers were victims of bogus weight-loss products than any other frauds covered by the survey.”
